Back-To-School Tip #6 - Talk to the Teacher

Teachers are asked to stay until 4pm each day. At 3:45pm the teachers are done with their dismissal duties. Why not schedule a time to meet with your child’s teacher after 3:45pm for a 5-10 minute conference? If you regularly do this, it demonstrates that you are involved and care about what is going on in the classroom. Our teachers are very eager to help and serve. Ask a teacher if you can work in the classroom, take attendance, supervise a recess, organize a field trip, or correct some homework. Send a teacher a thank you note from time to time. They are your helpers as you seek to educate your child.
